Verbs: 1. Future Going to

Prof. Alexandre Rodrigues

Quando vamos falar de atividades futuras, estas já planejadas, utilizamos a forma:

SUBJECT + TO BE + GOING TO + BASE FORM OF A VERB
I AM GOING TO TRAVEL NEXT YEAR.
SHE IS GOING TO WORK NEXT WEEKEND.

Da mesma forma que invertemos para fazermos sentenças interrogativas com o verbo “TO BE”, assim fazemos com tal forma do futuro:

TO BE + SUBJECT + GOING TO + BASE FORM OF A VERB
IS HE GOING TO HAVE A VACATION NEXT MONTH?
ARE THEY GOING TO PAY OFF THEIR HOUSE NEXT YEAR?

Não esqueçamos de colocar também os advérbios de tempo para que assim fique claro de que tempo futuro estamos falando:

NEXT YEAR / NEXT MONTH / WEEKEND / SUNDAY, MONDAY TOMORROW
IN TWO, THREE, FIFTEEN DAYS (MONTHS)
